General Warranty - 1 Year

Warranty Policy: Control System Laboratories warranty is one year. Warranty controls must be returned prepaid to Control System Laboratories for warranty evaluation. Customers also pay for return shipping. No authorization (RMA) is needed for warranty returns. Warranties include defective failed parts and labor issues if repaired wrong. Incorrect installation, blown parts (not defective), blown traces, blown fuses, blown outputs, blown inputs, CRT tube failure (unless new), lamps and etc. are not generally warranty issues. It is up to the customer or end user who uses our repair service to determine what caused the failure of their control. Often, such as motor controls, the motor caused the control to fail. If the motor is not repaired, when the motor controller is repaired and installed, it is very possible the motor will take out the control once more, requiring a new reapir and more cost to the customer. Not a warranty. One more example would be PLC's. When an input or output module is blown, usually there is a reason. If not corrected, the repaired PLC items will be blown once more. This too is not a warranty. Reoccuring blown parts are blown parts, and not defective. There are of course too many other examples to mention here. We treat warranties as common sense issues. At times when a control repair must be a source out by Control System Laboratories, the warranty terms and conditions would not be our own. The warranty issues would be covered by the third party.

Remember: It is not wrong to be your own repair technician at your own business, as long as you know what you are doing. You are responsible for what you do. That includes safety issues and how a repair should be handled on your end from start to finish. If not sure, then use an outside qualified service company. Control System Laboratories is only responsible for the work they do and not by any other second or third parties. This includes the customer and any outside repair company and/or vendors.
